Welcome!

About me? I am not even a huge baseball fan, but thought there was enough of a demand for this board to exist as more than just a temporary board for when Patriots Planet (http://www.patriotsplanet.net) went down. So we thought this would be a good use for it.

The first thing you need to know about the Planet way of doing things is this is YOUR board. Moderators are just regular members with a few extra buttons to push. The board exists because of it's members. As such, you will always have a voice in the way things are done here. As we get busy, you'll probably be asked to choose moderators from among yourselves, etc...

The second thing you need to know is it is relaxed. Off topic posts are not only allowed, but they are encouraged. They help build a sense of community. The way we put it on Patriots Planet is to think about it like a tailgate before the game. Sure, you are going to be talking mainly about the sport and the teams, but you will also talk about politics, sex, jobs, anything else that happens in that kind of social situation.

EDIT - If you are lurking and have trouble registering, PLEASE use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page. It is absolutely no problem to manually approve anyone that might be having some trouble. Besides, lurkers are creepy.

Anyway, please use this thread to tell us about yourself,

How you found Sox Planet,

How long you have been a fan,

Where you live, age, communicable diseases you want to share, etc...

Hi, I'm nomars_girl, but will answer to NG - even in the real world surprisingly enough. I've been a lifelong Red Sox fan (and you don't really want to know how long that is ....).

I've been a regular at the ESPN board for several years and discovered that many of the other regulars are migrating over here so I thought I would check it out.

Glad to see a nice relaxed forum where people are free to talk about whatever without anal mods who delete all off-topic posts or posts they simply disagree with.

Hello - you may or may not know me on PP as (P - shoulder). I grew up in Prahidence, and went to many Pawsox games, and a few at Fenway when I could. I live in Los Angeles of Los Angeles now, and it's very nice here, except that I have to watch the sox games on that tiny video player on MLB.com, and the Pats not at all for the most part.

I am southcarolina. I live in you guessed it...south carolina. I was born in Massachusetts (Fitchburg to be exact), moved here when i was 6. Grew up watching my dad root for the Red Sox and Patriots. Now im teaching my kids the same :) Im 36 married and have 2 boys age 10 and 7 (thats my 10 yr old in my avatar). Ive been a member of Patriots Planet (im southcarolina over there too) for a few months, and joined here because Undertaker threatened that if we didnt, he would make it rain frogs. When a clown says he will make amphibious precipitiation, i take that seriously.

Just t answer a few questions you probably have:

No i do not live in a trailer. I have a house. No i do not have junk cars on blocks in my front yard. My homeowners association strictly forbids it. No i do not like country music, or NASCAR. I am partially college edumacated (I took a year off from college and i never went back) I do not hunt, fish, attend tractor pulls, or shop at WalMart for wedding gifts. My sister and wife are two completely separate people. The road i live on is paved. I read books because i want to. I have never once knowingly eaten roadkill.

I have nasty sinus infection right now, so you might not want to get too close.

Hello! My name is Brenda (as you could probably guess!) I also visit PP, but I'm also a quieter member!! I grew up in Massachusetts (near Woostah) but since then I made a big move far away to Rhode Island !

I'm a huge Patriots and Red Sox fan. (Had no choice growing up, back then there was only one TV, and sports was always on!) My hubby and I have had Pats tix for about 15 (?) years now, and my folks have Red Sox season tix, so I usually get too see a few games at Fenway too. But I watch all of them!

I'm 38, married, and have an 18 (!) year old daughter, who is a senior in high school, and will be off to college next year! She's a great kid who has made us proud!

Gotta go watch Matsusaka pitch now, I hear Remy and Orsillo on TV -- bye!

Hey, all! I'm oldskool138 or just oldskool. My screen name has nothing to do with sports or my age (28). It has to do with an old punk rock band, the Misfits. They have a song called "We Are 138" and they tried to get back together but with a new singer. I hated their new stuff so I like their old school stuff. (Plus, I'm a big 70's-80's East Coast punk rock fan...Ramones, New York Dolls, et al).

Any-hoo, I'm big Red Sox and Pats fan. I really don't follow both sports in their entirety. I try to watch as many Sox games as I can on TV (I just got a High Def TV! I can't wait to see games this year!). I usually go to a couple of BoSox and PawSox games a year as I live on the Mass/RI border.

I am a member of PatsFans.com and that's how I heard about this site. So far so good! Let's keep the conversation flowing!

GO SOX!!!:) :) :)

Hi, I'm Lord Papelbon. I came over from the ESPN board also. I've been a life long Red Sox fan. I live in CT.

As far as football goes I am a Cowboys fan. I became one because they were the team on TV the most when I was growing up. I do also follow the Patriots but not as closely.

I have a son Ethan who just turned one and another son on the way......

Hello everyone!!! Chica over here. The reason my username is Patsfan_chica is because I signed on when the planet went down and I was too lazy to change it.

I'm a huge Pats fan but I'm also a huge Red Sox fan. I started following the Red Sox in 1999 when my school went on a field trip to Fenway.

I wasn't even a sports fan but the minute I saw the field, the Green Monster, and Nomar having an amazing game I was instantly hooked.

So I went through a couple of years of being obsessed with Nomar. And I still love the guy but now my favorite player is the Big Papi and with the Pats Rodney.

Let's go Red Sox!!!

P.S. I'm Puerto Rican so it's awesome the Red Sox have 3 Puerto Rican players: Mike Lowell, Alex Cora, and Joel Piniero.

be wary of the Bill Lee reference - it usually means he is eating cornflakes with an oregano type substance sprinkled like sugar on top with chocolate chip cookies for desert

Well, I was born in the SF Bay area in 1975, lived in 5 states (CA, MA, RI, NE and NY) and 3 countries (US, Canada and Portugal). I spent most my childhood in the New England Area, where I grew up rooting for the Sox, Pats, Bruins and Celtics.

I'm currently a Project Manager/Lead Programmer for a web fim in the Azores Islands.

Ok, so I'm a formerly displaced southerner, now a re-placed southerner, and wishing I was still a displaced southerner. A winter without skiing, and the thought of a summer without getting to Fenway at least once are so very depressing.

Hey all. You know me from PP as PeytonSux (and boy does he EVER!!). I'm originally born and raised in the Seadogs' backyard, but since the age of 19 have lived in MD (23 years and counting). The Sox are like breathing to me, only slightly more important. As much as I love both the Sox and the Pats, if I were only allowed to follow one it would be the Sox. Went to a ton of games at Fenway growing up, now I have to deal with seeing the Olde Towne Team at Camden Yards (I've been going to at least one game every series for the last 15 years).

As long as I've lived here, I still get nostalgic for listening to the Sox on the radio (thankfully, XM has solved that).

If any of you are ever in the area when the Sox are in town, shoot me a PM, I'll probably be going to the game.

Originally, I had my doubts about whether a Planet-style message board could ever work about the Red Sox . . .

negativity post on PP (http://www.patriotsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?postid=330362&highlight=PatriotsPlanet+formula+can#post330362)

I thought about going in a different direction as the '3 Point' thing is certainly a football angle but I felt it would be best to keep it now - for ease of existing comeraderie as it pertains to PP - so we could have an idea of who we're all dealing with here.

I really look forward to talking and posting all things Red Sox. I really like the changes that the Red Sox have made. They have really strengthened their pitching staff especially with Dice-K. It's to see that the Yanks are on the down hill slide. That's always a good thing. I loved the recent series with the yanks especially with that 4 home run performance. Loved every minute of it. No Nesn just Espn and Espn 2. I try to look for the times that the Red Sox are playing on Fox or Espn. Unfortunately I am stuck with a pseudo-baseball product that KC tries to pass off as a baseball product in the form of the Royals. I can guarantee you that when the Red Sox come to play at the K (Kaufmann Stadium) in KC I will definitely be trying to get tickets for those games since KC is roughly 3 hours away. Any way in answer to your question: no NESN.

Thank you for the warm welcome.:) It is awesome. I've been to Kaufmann Stadium and I've seen George Brett, UL Washington, and Frank White play. In regards to Johnny Damon I watched him play in the minors right here in Wichita,Kansas for the Royals Minor league affliate the Wichita Wranglers, before he got promoted to the Kansas City Royals. Unfortunately, the owners of the Wranglers are moving the team to Springdale, Arkansas. The owners felt as though the people of Wichita weren't supporting the team, which is true in a way because the team has had to compete against Wichita State Shocker baseball. Too bad, because I know that I always enjoyed watching the Wranglers play at Laurence Dumont Stadium. They will be missed by the few faithful followers of professional baseball.

The night that I went to watch a baseball game in KC it was against the Boston Red Sox who won the game that night.

Hey. I found out about Sox Planet at Patriots Planet. That one is such a gas that I figured this one would be too. This one has some craziness to catch up, make that a lot of craziness, but all good things take time.

I've been a fan long enough to have seen Teddy Ballgame play at Fenway...first time my parents took the family there, he hit three HRs in a doubleheader as the Sox swept. Pesky, Dom DiMaggio, Billy Goodman, et al were there too.

I grew up in NH, went to UNH, worked along 128 for a few years and have now spent as much of my adult life in NorCal as I did back there. Still a 125% died in the wool Red Sox fan.

I called it in 2004, told my wife that would be the year about August when the Sox went on that tear. She said 'you always say that', but really I hadn't. This year? Let's see some more, but looking pretty damn good.

Where do I begin. I have not been a Sox fan my whole life. It's been for about the last 15 years or so. I was living in upstate NY where my mom was from and a lot of the friends I hung out with were yankee fans. Basically long story short their annoying yankee fandom thrust me in to the Red Sox Nation where I have taken refuge since then. I was raised a Pirate fan by my dad and still root for them as well. Even though they are one of the saddest franchises in all of sports. But the Sox are my baseball #1. They have brought my wife and I some of the best times over the years. We make it a date night when we play the skanks. Beer, food and laughter.. (when we beat the pin stripes off of them.) As far as football is concerned I am a Steelers fan all the way. I was raised to do so since birth and have followed them closely all my life.(35 years). I respect the franchise that is the Patriots because of their commitment to winning, but I can't root for them. To many painful memories of Steeler playoff losses at the Pat's hands.. Well that's about it. My teams are the Steelers, Sox, Pirates, WVU football, Syracuse Basketball, Pens Hockey and The Buckeyes.
ps- I like beer too. :)

I have a question for you. Why do the big three teams (Steelers, Pens, Pirates) in Pittsburgh wear black and gold? I thinks it's pretty neat that all the major sports teams in a city would coordinate colors. That would be pretty tough to do in Boston.

I lived about 7 years in the Pittsburgh area. I used to tell my buddies that it was due to lack of creativity. Yeah i was popular there...haha

Thats a good question. I am not sure, but I know the Steelers were originally named the Pittsburgh Pirates. Maybe the baseball team figured let's just keep it simple. As far as the Pens, they are the Penguins. Black was an obvious choice as one color and as we know yellow/gold goes well with black. There you have it. You are no closer to the answer you sought, but I tried. :)

Hello all. I've been around Pats Planet for a while and have commited the sin of posting Sox content several times. So I decided to join here.

I'm a huge Sox and Pats fan (Cs and Bs too).

I'm an ultimate homer, hate the Yankees as much as other terrorist groups and am passionate about the Sox. I live in NJ and work in NY, so I'm around douchewhistle Yankee fans all the time.

I also have 5 kids who are ALL big time Boston sports fans (ages 7-18). Yes, I'm proud of that.

Hope to talk with you on the board.

actually this is the original color of the Penguins uniforms. They changed them to Black and Gold in 1980 after the Steelers and Pirates championships. The Bruins were not happy!!

That is pretty weak...I mean, that would be like the Pats or Sox changing to Celts green if they win a couple more championships. Maybe the Pens can take the old Whalers colors. ;)

LOL!! Yeah. I guess Pittsburgh had an old franchise from the 20's that had black and gold as their colors and that is why the NHL allowed it. The Bruins actually went to the league and officially complained.

Hello everyone....

I'm a newby here. I post as a regular at Broncosfreak.com. Patriots4ever visits there every once in awhile and talks Red Sox in our little MLB forum we have. We don't have too many Red Sox fans, so Patriots4ever invited me to join you guys and gals here at SoxPlanet.

My favorite Red Sox player is Wade Boggs. Currently I like to cheer for Youk and Wily Mo. I've only seen Boston play once in my life (besides t.v.) and they played the Yankees. It was at Yankee stadium. I HATE THE YANKEES!

I served in the military for over 7 years. I recently had to retire do to injury this past year overseas. I retired as a O-2. I now find myself starting my own business and trying to settle in as a civilian, talk about a totally different life change.

I hope to have some fun here as we all support the best baseball team in the world, the Boston Red Sox! Go SOX!

Well, seeing as this is the "tell us about yourself" thread, I guess I will try to do that.

I am a very humble, quiet sort of guy who never has too much to say.

But, I've been a Sox fan for just about all of my life, which goes back to the days of some of the greatest baseball players of all time.....And I am glad that I had the opportunity of seeing them in person, players like Ted Williams, JoE Dimaggio, and I even saw Babe Ruth, although not playing the game, but at Yankee Stadium onthe day that he said his farewells. I was living in NY at the time, just a young kid, and my dad took me to the game at Yankee Stadium.

Allthough I was born in Boston, Ilived in NYC , for some years as my father took a job there when Iwas 2 years old. Of course, I moved back to Mass. after the military and I got married.

I went to every game of the 67 and 76 world series and have some great stories to tell, especially one about driving around Kenmore Square in my new Corvair convertible, the night the Sox clinched the 67 pennant in a win over the Detroit tigers.

Most of you know me as a long time, almost for life it seems, Patriot fan, and the founder and president emeritus of the New England Patriots Fan Club Of Arizona...And, of course, my new Patriots Fan Forum on the internet.

But this is a Sox forum, and I am here to discuss the Sox only..and what may just be a great, great season.

Anyway, thats a brief history of NEM, which stands for New England Mike, a name I got from a sports talk show host here in Phoenix, and it has stuck.

I saw the Sox play here, a couple of weeks ago, against the Diamondbacks, and the stadium was like a home game for the Sox. A grea, great night.

In 1967 the Sox beat the Twins on the last game of the season to clinch a tie for the pennant. Then the Angels beat the TIGERS for the Sox to WIN the pennant!

You may be riight. My memory is really bad. In the game that the Tigers lost, was that the one where Dick McAulliffe Hit into a game ending double play, the only one he hit into all season?

My hazy memory remembers me and a friend listening to it on the radio and jumping for joy when he hit into the DP.

Thats probably what I remember, and thought they were playing the Sox. Thanks for the correction.

I do remember the trip through Kenmore Square though, in my new Corvair convertible ..It was a wild, wild time.

And then the story of how I got tickets, handfulls of them for every game in the World Series that year, bleacher seats.

Hey folks. I'm a longtime member of PatriotsPlanet. And I HATE baseball! But from visiting the PatsPlanet temp forum on this site I've come to know this site and even posted on the main forum a time or two.

I don't like MLB, but I know that a lot of Pats fans are also Sox fans, so I keep an open mind about it. It's funny, though, because I live in Wisconsin which is just the opposite of New England. In NE no matter how good the Patriots are, it seems like they're always second fiddle to the Sox. In WI the Brewers could get to the World Series every year and they still wouldn't be nearly as popular as the Packers are. (Course, that logic may be flawed since the Brewers haven't done much of anything since 1982.)

Anyway, I'm not much for baseball but I still root for the Sox to win just because I know so many of my brothers and sisters in Patriot Nation love them too. :icon_syda

Oh, and you're probably wondering why a guy in Wisconsin is a diehard Patriots fan (have been since 1995!) To make the long story short, I wanted to be different by having a "second favorite" team to root for, and chose the Patriots for a bunch of different reasons. Then after the Patriots lost to my "first favorite" team (i.e. the Packers) in the Super Bowl I realized I liked the Pats more even though they lost. So I dropped the Packers and here I am.

These days, when the cheeseheads say, "Yeah well, the Packers still beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl", I fire back, "Yeah well, maybe if the Packers could get to a Super Bowl in this century we could have a rematch." :icon_fU:

I made a bet with my husband & won so in May of this year, I got the logo tattooed on my shoulder. I love all things Red Sox & detest any thing Yankee related (unless its Yankee bashing). Yankees suck, A-Rod swallows!

Apologies on this but I have to ask because it affects how I read your screen-name when you post.

Is it because your name is Gina Hunt or it is suppsed to be read 'Gina Hunt?

Gina is my first name, Hunt is the last & I have 3 kids, that's where I get my name. And thanks for the welcome. Lord Papelbon, What part of CT are you from? I'm in Bpt. and the only games we get is Mets & Yankees. I have Direct TV and I paid extra for NESN, amd then this season they blacked out the games so now I pay an extra $200 a year for the MLB package. The reason for this I was told is because New York teams are the "area" teams. I wasn't very happy with that, who are they to tell me who I am supposed to be rooting for? One more thing, they have "Who's your papi?" shirts why don't they have "Who's your Pappy?" shirts?

You just might be onto something with that shirt idea, Gina ...

And ain't that some sheeit with DirecTV? They could give two shits about their customers, that's why they sign you into contracts. We told them to F off when they came to hook up HD and said we would have to take down a tree to get it. They never came looking for their money either. Anyway, I hear CT is full of Yankees fans, is it true?

Hello all, I am a long time Sox fan even though I was born, raised, and still live in Montana. I finally found a decent site here, the last one I found for the sox averaged about a post a decade. Great to be here!

Wow, we got Sox fans from different countries now! When did you guys get internet access?

ginahunt3
11-24-2007, 05:34 AM
Yeah it's true there are lots of Yankee fans in CT, but it doesn't bother me. Actually it's kind of fun to harass them. I asked one how many championships they have in the 21st century, because we have 2. I have a blue mini-van with Sox magnets all over it. I always wear something with the Red Sox on it, earrings, purse, t-shirt, coat, jacket, sneakers, etc. And in the summer I wear tank tops so they can see my tattoo. Which also lets me tell them that I am loyal and they aren't because I'm marked for life. I actually saw a man in Walmart with a Sox shirt and a Yankee hat just about the end of the regular season. I guess he wanted to be covered either way. I had another idea for a shirt, a picture of Schillings bloody sock with a caption reading "Blood, Sweat & Cheers" on top and World Champions on the bottom. What do you think?

Hi folks,
My name is Nat. I've been a sox fan for 42 years. Grew up in a family of sox fans, so it was the obvious choice and a good one lately with the rings finally coming around. My wife (Cathy) and I and our pot belly pig (her name is Maddy-Rose) reside in western New Hampshire in a small town named Claremont. I'm a postal worker of nearly 20 years and can't wait to retire from that mess. Sooner the better I say. Glad to find this board and hope to chat with all of you in the near future. Take care, Nat

Hi Nat & welcome! I found this site a few months ago & I love it. I've always wanted a pot bellied pig (the small ones) but the closest thing I have is my husband (LOL). It might not be a good idea with my dogs. I have 2 pit bulls (big babies) & even though they love other animals I don't know how they would act with a pig. Any way I look forward to seeing your posts.

Became a Sox fan shortly after I followed the Pats, thats when I began following the Celtics too. I honestly love the Pats, because football is my game but I love the Sox and I try to educate myself about baseball more and more so I can understand the game more. I can't wait for spring training to come now, and I hope this board stays intesresting because I've been dieing for a Sox board.

Life long Boston sports fan here. Born and raised in Pawtucket now a card carrying member of Red Sox Nation in South Texas. Always tell my wife of 26 years the Red Sox were my first love. Sorry honey it will always be that way. A couple of my favorite all time Sox have been Dewey, Rico, the Hawk and El Tiante. I already have tickets for the June 27th game down here in Houston. I can't wait its been too long since I've seen my Sox. I'm retired Navy, 20 years been pretty much around the world and decided to retire here in Corpus Christi, TX. I just can't handle those brutal cold winters anymore. Anyways heres to another great season for the Sox.

Go Sox, Pats, B's, and Celts

OK I am new here, a convert from PatsPlanet. PAtsfanroach is my name over there. I am not a lifelong Sox fan. I was a Tigers fan from 1982 till around 1993. I loved that team. However while I was in college I came back to being a full flegged Sox fan again. Nomar was my favorite, but I understood the trade and it worked...

I am a teacher in Maine and I also coach track and soccer. I am 36 and I am engaged to be married this summer...

I am a much much bigger Pats fan, but I pretty much will watch at least part of every game from 6:00 AM until the Sox win another world title this September...

I'm still fairly new on PP and was happy to discover this board. I like the format and I am encouraging my friends to join up. I am a life long Red Sox fan and like nomarsgirl said, ya don't want to know how long that is. I live in RI and though I don't get to Fenway too much, I do go to McCoy to see the Paw Sox whenever I can. I am a retired truck driver and loving it. No more road rage! I am looking forward to meeting other Sox fans. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>I just re-read this post I did.................................BOORRIINNGG!! But I'm still a newbie so I'll try to behave myself..............for now. I got into a situation on PP when I posted what I thought was a joke but because I didnt put in a smiley or indicated somehow that it was a joke, I got some serious bashing and some downright obscene remarks. I even tried to apologize to the person and was totally ignored and then later after I posted something else again, I was totally insulted by this foul-mouth person. Soooooooooo I don't go to PP anymore . I feel much more at home here and I am trying to watch my sense of humor (which is twisted) so I don't offend anybody. Thinking it over, this is what I should have sent that person on PP. Too soon old, too late smart.

I grew up in Manchester CT, but ten years ago, I moved to Wolcott, CT, just outside of Waterbury, deep into Yankee territory. One of my favorite moments as A Sox fan was watching game 7 of the ALCS in a Waterbury Bowling Alley surrounded by Yanks fans.

I came over from the ESPN Sox meassage board (at NG's beckoning) once it got too oppressive over there.. While I love talking Red Sox Baseball, I also like talking about just about anything with fun people in a low pressure, familiar setting. Seems like that's cool here.

Hello. I'm 67 years old, and had never been to a MLB game until this year. In 2005, while visiting a sister in NY, we went to Class A game to watch a relative (son of wife's first cousin, and I think her closest relative) play. He had been drafted by Boston. We saw him at spring training a couple of times where he was invited as a non-roster player. He made it to the Red Sox earlier this year and played in 17 games, and we got to see a couple of them when the Sox were in Detroit. He was unfortunately there only to cover for injuries, and was sent down to Pawtucket, but we are now hooked on the Red Sox.
I look forward to learning from all of you.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I'm kinda hoping I can find a few gal posters to help me indulge my favorite pasttime - obsessing over the Bad Man and his HOF career. :)

Hi, I'm Firefligh, a refugee from the 'improved' board at boston.com that now loads slower than dial-up speed and can't organize posts written in the same millenium.

Am looking for a new home, so thought I'd wander in during the game.

Welcome ma'am. My name is Sam Malone, but you can call me Pimp... Errr... Nevermind..

LOL Welcome to the Board

Hey Everyone!
I was born and brought up just North of Boston and have been a life long Red Sox fan. I moved away in 2001 and currently live in Va Beach, VA. My all time favorite Sox is Carlton Fisk but my current favorite is Jason Varitek and I have a major obsession with the man.
Manny is a very close second *waves to Firefligh*

You wont often hear me badmouth the Red Sox as I look at that as bad karma. I do however lose my mind from time to time which can be humorous for others to watch, or so I'm told.

I'm hoping to hang here for a while or at least until I get escorted out.

Howdy. Transfer from Patriots Planet. Rival Fan there (Colts). And...rival fan here. Phillies. I'm feeling good after the victory over the Sox last night and thought I'd register here. I know ... the timing is suspicious, but I will refrain from gloating. Two more games.

I'm not exactly sure how I became a Phillie fan in Southern Indiana. It's somehow genetic. My dad grew up a Phillie fan and a Red Sox fan. He was a huge Williams fan and his brothers likes the Whiz Kids. Anyway I was a fan of both in the mid 70's. Both team ran into the Reds and came up short. Thus I have an INTENSE dislike for the Reds and, to some extent, the Yankees. I'm surrounded by Reds fans and Cardinal fans. I can stand the Cardinals though. I've always liked their teams and the way they built their teams.

One of my sons is a huge Red Sox fan. The other (they're twins) is a Cardinals fan.

Also, not having grown up near Philadelphia, the behavior of Phillie fans sometimes embarrasses and amazes me. (Although I'm right behind them when they booed JD.) I don't go on their message boards.

LOVE this smilie. =====> :icon_toil

Thanks Mikie.

I love this version of the Phillies. I thought getting rid a Francona was a mistake, but love Charlie Manual. I like how that story about him benching Rollins has lived for more than a day. Since last year, all the quotes from the team have been either taking the blame for losses or spreading the credit for wins. It seems like that whole attitude comes down from Charlie.

Looking forward to a good series.

I'm pretty sure there was a memo. I don't know why nobody got it.

Maybe we could set up a service to help people come up with creative baseball names. (1) bostonbabe (2) baseballbuster (3) redsoxfanatic (4) soxster (5)redrooter (6) redsoxlifer if I think of some more, I'l post them if ya want????
