I'd like to dedicate this thread to the memory of Nicole Miller (http://www.unitedheroes.com/Nicole-Miller.html), who died when Flight 93 crashed on 9/11/2001. Nicole was my-girlfriend-at-the-time's aerobics instructor. She was on the flight returning to the Bay Area from visiting her boyfriend, who was stationed with the Marines on the East Coast.

Win.

On the ledge = a homer for Marco Scutaro. Coco Crisp ain't the only guy who can burn his former team. 1-0 Red Sox.

Kid Kalish delivers a clutch 2-out hit with a runner in scoring position. 2-0 Red Sox after 5 and a half.

Jeremy Hermida has an opportunity here to join that list.

Except he strikes out instead.

Because he sucks.

GOOD RIDDANCE!

Had I not run to the store, I would have posted that while we were winning 2-0. Because I am an equal opportunity Lackey hater... it's not only in the bad times.

I really didn't think they would just quit at the end, but it's pretty clear that they have given up on this season. My biggest fear is what exactly do they have for 2011? On the surface it doesn't appear to be much. I'm not sure this team will compete next year either.

Let's have a great offseason. Which players will be FAs? Here's hoping we don't throw money at John Lackey type players.

Because I hate that guy.
