2:44 p.m.: There will be a doubleheader Saturday while Hurricane Earl heads off for the Maritimes. Not a big surprise. The southern coast of New England is beginning to get licked with hard rain and it will be a wet night in Boston.http://www.nesn.com/2010/09/red-sox-live-blog-all-eyes-on-weather-manny-ramirez-for-opener-with-white-sox.html

2:53 p.m.: It is now official. The Sox and Sox will play a day-night doubleheader Saturday. The first game will be at 1:05 p.m. The second will be at the regularly scheduled time of 7:10 p.m. Tickets for Friday's rainout will be honored for the day game.

Aside from the game being canceled and rescheduled as a double header tomorrow; I hope that everyone along the East Coast that's being affected by Earl are safe and okay.......that includes all of you my fellow Planeteers!!:D

Earl is down to a Tropical Storm (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at2+shtml/205228.shtml?5-daynl). Still not pleasant, but probably not all that dangerous, unless you are fishing 100 miles off the Cape in a dinghy ... or if you have a leaky roof on your house.

As usual, over hyped by the news. Never amounted to much of anything. I lived in Western Connecticut and it never even rained. Not complaining, but if you watched the news you would think it was the END DAYS!
