Will thay glory hound just retire already? You'd think people would've gotten fed up with his schtick already.

We haven't gotten tired of Manny's yet, :D

At least Manny still plays full seasons.

We haven't gotten tired of Manny's yet, :DSpeak for yourself. If it isn't Matsuzaka's bowel movements being filmed by Japanese media, it's the never-ending "Manny being Manny" stuff.

The season can't start soon enough.

I have no problem with Manny. I wish the media would not make such a never ending story out of his personality. So he's a little scatterbrained and shy with the media. At least he's not smashing strippers' faces in and getting shot up.

As great a pitcher as he has been (one of the best of All-Time) he's kind of an ass. He comes out and says, "I feel like I wasted my time when we missed the playoffs by one game last year" (Re: Astros)

Ummm.....maybe if you pitched a full-season you could have gotten them one more win.

And I also liked when he spoke recently at Astros TC when he pitched BP saying something along the lines of, "I hope that come June everybody's all set with their rotations and I can just sit back, have a beer and enjoy baseball"

Just retire then if you don't want to play--please don't make it sound like MLB is an inconvenience to you with all of our pitching needs.

When this whole saga started I was excited to think Roger would pitch for the Sox again but now I'm just annoyed with what he does and really don't want to see him back again. Not sure how effective he would be back in the AL East again. I don't remember his numbers being great when he left....

Yeah, his ERA last year was north of 3.00

Add at the very least another run and a half for the AL and that makes him a back of the rotation guy. Now, would I like to see him in the #5 spot instead of Wake...maybe. It depends.

If Wake goes to the pen, it reduces the value of Dougie dramatically.

He's not coming to Boston. If he decides to pitch it will be for the 'Stros.

His peripherals were very good from last year IIRC. I'll look them up later tonight and post them. They're very easy to find BTW on ESPN.com.

There isn't a rotation on this planet that Clemens would be a "back-end starter" for in my opinion.

Clemens will sit back and wait to see how the Sox, Yanks, and Astros do. By around July, if he wants a little extra spending money, he'll sign with whichever one has the best chance at the WS. Official mercenary for hire--which is fine by me. I don't like him, and couldn't stomach watching him in a Red Sox uni from April until October anyway. He's welcome to jump on board in July, though, as I'm sure there will be at least one starter on the DL.
