It's as close as I'm getting to Fenway.

I'm in Section 8 (between third and home) for three games: Thursday 5/3 against Indy, Sunday 6/10 against Ottawa, and Sunday 8/5 against Rochester.

Congrats! I grew up with the Pawsox, those games were always a treat.

I've gone to a few (two this past summer, one or two the summer before that) and it's hard to beat the price. I got "reserved" seats for ten bucks apiece. Just for kicks, I poked around the Red Sox ticketing system; here and there I can find obstructed view seats in the top sections near the Pesky Pole (where you can probably see the guy in Right Field if you're lucky, and that's about it) for $45, or I could stand for $25.

Yeah, I "won" the raffle for the "right" to buy either Monster Seats, Right Field Roof or Yankees Game tickets. I won Yankee tickets. I could only buy two for obstructed view. I said to myself, "Well, how obstructed could it be?" My seat was directly in front of one of those green pylons that holds the roof over the gradstands up. Even if I leaned waaay over, I could see the field. My friend and I decided to stand, which wasn't that bad.

I know the Sox are trying to put butts in seats but lets get realistic. They should either pull those seats out or not sell them. It insults the purchaser because no one in their right mind would sit there. They might as well just sell the person a standing room ticket or, if they were really cool upgrade them to the .406 Club (or whatever they call it now). They used to do it with the red seat out in the right field bleachers.

Depends on which section the obstructed view seats are. Some aren't "too" bad. Still the prices should be reduced dramatically for those seats.
