I looked for a thread for the finals and did not see one.
The Celts just tied the series at 2-2, beating the hated Lakers 96-89.:woohoo:
With the series 2-3-2 the Celts needed to to take one of two in L.A. and win at least two of three in Boston to have a chance to win this series.
Game five Sunday will likely determine the winner of this series.
BEAT L.A:whip:

I seem to remember two years ago the Celtics came back from a big deficit in LA to win a game ... and that pretty much decided the series.
They could not do so in Game 3, but had a nice bounce back in Game 4. Full marks for the bench for saving the starters' asses in this particular tilt.
If Garnett, Allen, Pierce, and Rondo can all show up for the same game twice out of the next three contests, LA is toast.
Otherwise, this series is a Pick 'Em.

Well, they did so in Game Five. Not so much in Game Six.
One more chance. I can't believe their next performance will be anywhere near the text message of an effort they turned in last night.

Who here did not expect the Lakers to show up last night?
The Celts need to control the boards, especially the defensive boards.
What is Perk's status?

Kendrick Perkins won't play, Doc Rivers says.
Boston's coach rules out his starting center, who tore knee ligaments early in Game 6. Perkins says the torment of not playing in Game 7 of the NBA Finals will be worse than his physical pain.

Without Perkins they completely lost the rebound battle, which would not have been so bad had Ray Allen's shot not completely deserted him.
Damn. From what I gathered from something they showed on TV tonight, this is the first Celtics team to lose a Game Seven to the Lakers.
When the playoffs began, I really didn't expect this Celtics team to get within a sniff of the Finals, but once you pull yourself to within one win of the whole enchilada, you have to find some way to get that win.
The Lakers did just that.
Damn.
time to concentrate on baseball now for me
