Yeah, I also found the "broadcast" and the technical difficulties, and changed the channel. Apparently NESN doesn't have enough money to assure a broadcast works correctly?

Here's a NESN video with highlights including the triple play.

Apparently there is a difference of opinion as to whether it was a triple play or a prolonged double play.

The drama of the Red Sox's 3-2 win over the Pirates on Saturday peaked during the final play of the game, a whirlwind of alert defense that left many observers wondering whether the contest had ended with a triple play or simply a prolonged double play.

With no outs in the top of the ninth inning and visiting Pittsburgh trailing by a run, Gorkys Hernandez stepped up against right-hander Michael Bowden. Brandon Jones was on first base after drawing a walk that moved Jonathan Van Every, who had been hit by a pitch leading off the inning, to second.

Hernandez lined the first pitch of the at-bat to shortstop Jose Iglesias, who flipped to second baseman Tug Hulett for the second out. Hulett fired to first base in an attempt to complete the triple play, but the ball slipped past Aaron Bates, giving Jones a chance to advance to second.

Catcher Dusty Brown, backing up the errant throw to first base, threw to Hulett at second base, where Jones arrived an instant too late, ending the game.

According to the rules of Major League Baseball, a triple play is defined as "a play by the defense in which three offensive players are put out as a result of continuous action, providing there is no error between putouts."

Although no error was officially recorded during the final play of the game, the disruption of continuous action caused by Hulett's wide throw to first base seemingly keeps the game-ending sequence from being a triple play.
