10-1 the rest of the way will give the Red Sox 100 wins, and probably still only the wild card.

Does anyone care about reaching the 3 digits?

It would be nice, but all I care about is hitting on all cylinders going into the playoffs, being healthy, well rested, and having your pitching set.

So I guess I answered my own question. I'm thinking the Sox are going to win 96-98 games (As Usual) and ready to deal against Anaheim in the first round.

100 wins has always been one of those selfish (to me, anyway) accomplishments I've always wanted the Sox to achieve. In a kind of means-nothing-but-wouldn't-it-be-great kinda of way.

Problem is that 10-1 would pretty much match their best string of play all season and I don't see it happening as they wind down and set up their rotation. I think if it were to happen, it would be almost by accident.

Still, I'd love to see it.

Francona already signalled that he's more interested in saving arms by using the six-man rotation this week. I would not be surprised if the last few games don't look more like spring training, once the wild card is officially in the bag.
