Alice vs Nancy

A few years ago, a player that goes by the name of hmm lets say Alice started playing the field, seeing where he wanted to go and try to earn as much money as he possible can, you see Alice has an inflated ego

Alice almost came to the Red Sox but Alice saw a rainbow that was covered with the stench of Yankee Stadium and alas that ship sailed

Now as we all know, Alice is incredible player, has talent that can't be denied, well of course if you are in the post season then all bets are off, for you see Alice just does not know how to perform in that grand stage

I for one never wanted Alice with us, the chemistry and how he left teams behind him for the mighty dollar and what other teams can do for him was not a player I wanted in our clubhouse and one I did not think would fit


Soon afterward, we came across a player named Nancy
Now this was a player I have embraced and defended and am glad she ah he is with us

Now Nancy has had injury problems , and that is being polite. Nancy had slumps to reach all levels if you ask some Red Sox fans

But for the most part Nancy has had some great numbers and in the post season he has shine through for us and this past August his numbers are making us proud


Nancy may be expressionless most of the time but he delivers unlike Alice

Muse, yes there are people who post here that don't post here. But when you post it in both places, you eliminate the need for folks who post in both places to venture over here at all. That's the part I speak of that I don't understand.

I'm not saying not to post about baseball over there if you prefer - you're not alone. Just saying, if you post it there you probably don't even have to waste your time posting it here.

I wanted Alice, but I'm incredibly glad we didn't end up with Alice. Alice is a cancer.

I was just as emotionless about Nancy coming here as she is when she plays, but I have an appreciation for Nancy. I have been a staunch Nancy defender ever since her 2007 ALCS Game 6 Grand Slam.

And personally, at this point, i'll take two new posters that want to be here, rather than 100 from PP who only post here because they have to. In other words, y'all two aint goin' no where.

I love those guys. So glad they're here. But I think it would be nice for THEM if a thread like this wasn't posted in both places so that perhaps THEY can read the thoughts of some of the folks who venture over from PP on occasion. When a post is made in both places, those PP posters won't ever NEED to come over here. Not fair to those who are trying to make a home here.

It is a bit intimidating over there. I check it out and admit some of the threads are entertaining. I seldom post. I really wish the Sox fans over there that never post here would join in. I can think of at least one that would add a lot to this board. That's okay, we are a nice little group and I love it here.
