Beckett: I don't want it. You get it.
Halladay: I don't want it. It's yours.
Beckett: No. You.
Halladay: I can outsuck you.

Byrd's already done his job and then some. Hope he's on a short leash from the 6th inning on

Well, since Buchholz went deep in the game last night and we have an off dy tomorrow, can use anyone in the pen.

Somehow I posted that in the wrong thread, I put it in the game thread where it belonged :)

You were just quick to answer before I could delete it

A few weeks ago, I would have agreed that it was between these two guys. Now, Sabathia, Verlander, and even Feldman (from Texas) have to be in the conversation, too.

I think they have both pitched their way out of contention. It's just strange to see.

If Beckett recovers and wins something like five out of his last seven starts, with an ERA under 3 in September, then I think he's back in the race, especially if the Red Sox make the postseason.

Halladay ... I don't know.

Sure, I'm a homer, but I think Verlander will take it.
