It's looking like an interesting season, for sure. How will Lugo fit in? What about Drew? Dice-K? What's left in the tank for Schilling and Timlin? Does Willy Mo develop more? How do the young pitchers (Papelbon, Lester, Hanson, Delcarmen) progress? Will the newly added relief guys be any good? When will the Annual Manny Meltdown occur? One thing's for sure, the Sox definitely lead the Boston-area teams in terms of soap opera potential, LOL...

UGH!

The weird thing is, he was pretty good back in 1999, but the buffet table became his best friend, and he basically fell right off the face of the earth. Until now, that is.

He was one of the top setup men in baseball in '98 and '99 if I remember correctly.

I agree. Izzo, please give us another chance. I posted over at PP that i was sorry for setting an adversarial tone in my response (the first reply) to your original post over there. I just hope you understand that i look at every thread as an opportunity to flex my smartass skills. I wasnt trying to single you out :) I should have been more welcoming to a new poster than i was. A few scant months ago, i too was a brand new poster who was welcomed by the regulars with open arms. Then when it was my turn to return the favor, i failed miserably. So, again, i apologize and humbly ask that you not hold that thread against me personally, or PP generally. I think that you will find that PP is a great place to hang out.

Maybe, The last thing i want to do is upset my fellow patsfans and i guess the way i think upsets chef. Thats the way i talk football i make jokes about players playing badly, being stupid, or always being injured. I didnt think that would upset anybody.

Hey man, I didn't read what happened over at PP and I've only been there for a month or so but you can't appease everyone in life. If people disagree with you or become upset with you because your opinions differ from their own--such is life. From my limited experience there and reading this thread here, the regulars are welcoming you back with open arms.
