What a joke.
The president is merely a figure-head. The Supreme leader of Iran has almost all the political power. In fact, the supreme leader actually has the power to veto the will of the people. If he's not happy with the results of an election, he gets to change the results.
This election is only important in a psychological way. The only thing that will change in Iran if Ahmadinejad isn't reelected is the political rhetoric. The supreme leader will still be the same, and he has unchecked veto power over all legislation.
