quick test to see if it is PWD.
three questions:
1. name the team nickname for the college we both attended.
2. name the name of the building that Egon taught classes in
3. name the tradition that all the frats did on the racket river (near the bridge).

Golden Knights.
Can't remember - was across the street from Snell though.

actually #2 was called The Science Center when I was there (up on the hill). The fact that you nailed #3 means you are the real PWD. Only a Golden Knight would know the answer to that question.

We still walked for freshman Chemistry. Egon taught in a lecture hall that was in the same building that was the Chem E building.

It looks like they are still using some of the downtown buildings but the ChemE building is abandoned. It was the one to the left of 42 on this map.

freshman and sophomore year I lived in Newell (#19) and then moved to Riverside Apts. (#36) junior year. Senior year I lived in off campus apartment across from the tennis courts (#2). Grad school, I lived downtown off campus.

Thomas House was in Price Hall too. I forget what years you were there, but I was there fall 1977 to spring 1981. Did we overlap at all?
It must have been close because Price Hall was fairly new when I got there. They used to call them the new dorms.

man. you are an old fart.
At least we both avoided the pit freshman year. I had a few friends that lived down there and I wouldn't even go visit them.

We used to have to eat dinner in the Pit, lol. B Ball practice was 5-7, and by the time we got dressed, and got to the cafe, it was 7:30 and all the other dining halls were closed or closing. They kept the Pit open 7:30 - 8:30 for us. You'd think Jack (actually Abrahamovich was head coach) could have used his pull to keep a better cafe open.
