According to mlbtraderumors.com, Amalie Benjamin is saying that Smoltz may debut as early as Tuesday. Obviously this puts the sox in a bit of a predicament (albeit a good one). Any predictions on where Penny ends up and who we get for him. One source said he may be traded as early as next week. :zombie:

I still don't think the Sox will get a whole lot for him, but something's got to give once Smoltz gets back. DFA'ing Lugo won't cut it, since Lowrie will assume that role.

Penny's been very lucky this season. He could easily have 4 or 5 losses.

I wouldn;t discount the possibility that Baldelli might suddenly need a DL stint for "tightness' in some obscure anatomical part.

He's been pitching decently lately, If Lugo had more range Penny's ERA would be better, victory tonight might get his value up? :pirate2:
