Lugo has been playing pretty badly and he has absolutely no range and can't make the deep throw for the most part...The thing is who wants him? Any Suggestions on Trade Talk?

He is getting $9 million this year and next. Plus, there is an option if he reaches a certain amount of PA's (which he will never reach). He can't hit, field or run. Who is going to take him? The only way I could see something happen is if the Sox pay all of the remaining salary. And I don't even know if they can do that under MLB rules?

My guess is the send Green down and keep Lugo as a back up when Lowrie returns. I know we would all love to see Lugo DFA'ed, but I don't think that is realistic with the $ the Sox owe him.

By the end of the season, Lugo will be playing for another team at a pro-rated veteran's minimum... because the Sox will have DFA'd him.

He is an untradable commodity.

the only salary swap that would even be a possibility off the top of my head would be for gary matthews jr. his deal is two years longer, though, so it wouldn't be a good move at all. it'd never happen for that reason either. they will have to eat lugo's salary or just have one expensive utility player.

I think that will be the only solution. They will cut their losses and eat the $9m.

Mikie I hope you are right. It would be nice to see him gone.
