the mission has already been accomplished.....

did not want them to win this series.......now this game is pure gravy

WHat do you think Mikes reaction will be at 1pm tomorrow?

furious or accepting because he felt Wang had no shot anyway

Well on Sirius XM Mad Dog is beside himself with happiness. Already talking about getting the Crack Committee back together. :)

U dunno, he seems to be handling this year's losses with a certain stoic disappointment. Almost like he's expecting them.

no I remember listening the day after the Double header sweep and he was pretty pissed

I think he will probably be stoic today because he hated Wang against Boston.....he didn't really have any hope of them winning

but batten down the hatches tomorrow if CC loses tonight......he will go ballistic

I wish I could still listen to Dog....but I refuse to pay for something that could be out of business next week

That's true. But I joined when I heard Stern was going over, so I have been subscribing for about 5 years now. Doggies show is pretty good. Same old Chris.

Penny is our #5, but he was pitching pretty well in the last game until he got rattled by Lugo's antics. Let's hope Lugo won't be there today. If he IS there, I really hope Penny beats his ass to the DL at some point in the game.

from the Globe

"We're trying to win games," manager Terry Francona said. "We want to put our best hitters, our best defense [on the field]. What do you do with Youk? We've got a guy that's won the Gold Glove that I would have a hard time saying, 'Well, we're not going to play our Gold Glove first baseman 'cause I wanted to take David's mind off of his struggles.' That doesn't make a lot of sense to me."

Ortiz said only, "I'm not talking anymore. Not for a while."
