Quietly in a little bit of a hitting slump. Fortunately it hasn't hurt us too much so far.

what's nice is even though he's in a hitting slump, he has been taking a free pass more. 5 walks in the past 6 games.

Bay has struggled recently average-wise, but he's still coming up with some big hits.
This is actually a fairly good start for him, considering how bad he typically is in the first 3-4 months of the season. I think he was hitting around .280 at the same time last season.

I hated that first AB though......
everyone and their sister knows that Wang is struggling......why swing at the second pitch as the leadoff hitter?
especially because he walked like the next 3 guys....Petey needed to see a few more there

Yes. My one concern with his offense his first two seasons was his tendency to walk somewhat infrequently. He walked about 50 times last year but is on pace to walk somewhere between 90-100 times this year.

i've learned over the last couple of years that we will see pedroia slump at points every year. never get frustrated or annoyed with him though because we will be sure to see some amazing streaks in the not too distant future.

Watching him when he's in the zone is a glorious thing-hope he shows some more power when it happens next.
