Hello, my name is UT and I run the site. You are all more than welcome here.

Currently Mikie is the only mod for the Sox forum. If we need more, we'll add more.

Things are laid back here. If you want to start a new thread about anything, feel free. OT is not only allowed but encouraged.

Though I run the site, it really belongs to you. A board is nothing without its members. Any major policy changes will be put to the membership and voted on.

If you have any problems with the site, feel free to bring it up. If there is a feature that we don't have, I will do my best to add it for you. In short, if there is anything I can do to make your transition more comfortable, please let me know. My only goal here is to have a fun community that is enjoyed by all.

The ESPN Red Sox board used to have more posts than any other ESPN forum. It has been a shadow of its former self in the past few years, but most of the posters from those old days are still around somewhere. As more of them find their way over here, we could find that this is a very busy and active board.

It is always a little strange when a whole group migrates over together and they all "know" each other. It may take a little time before this feels like one board since right now we have two distinct groups of posters - the old guard and the ESPN refugees. You may have to bear with them when they talk about the old place. It was hard to discuss what was happening over there because the posts would disappear almost as soon as they were made. I hope our new members will be considerate and keep these discussions in one place. The "ESPN Board Members Unite" thread is appropriate for this. Then the Sox Planet natives who aren't interested in ESPN drama can simply ignore it.

a Post or Threads do not get deleted unless they are of pretty bad aka to much flesh in the girlie picture thread or a rude comment that slips by the boards filter - they may get merged if there are several threads started on the same topic - but that is just house cleaning...not ruling with an iron fist

I am sure you all expect heated debates as we are all passionate about our beloved Sox but never let it engross you or the board....it is after all an opinion most of the time

feel free to post OT stuff on a variety of subjects...if it turns political we may move it to the political forum but most topics are fine in the General forum
