Seriously....great series as usual. Dreamboat's steal of home was fun. The hitting was incredible. Hey Jason Bay....it's nice hitting important home runs in front of more than 10,000 people huh? And last night an old fashioned pitching duel.

I didn't see the steal of home when it happened. We were driving home and couldn't find the game on the radio and just got an update on the cell phone. My husband was like, "How do you steal home?" He was thinking wild pitch or something and I had to inform him you don't get credit for a SB on a wild pitch -- and that happens all the time. A straight out steal of home doesn't happen often. Everyone pretty much has to be asleep for that to happen. Caught the highlights later. He made it look easy.

That was the bad thing -- he did make it seem too easy!!!

That was impressive - so do you place the blame on the catcher for not blocking the plate or the pitcher not looking him off after that hyooooge lead off??

I say the catcher - even though it was an off speed he should have blocked that plate - even if he had dropped the ball it would have looked better than what had happen -- two words for that ---TOO BAD!!! LOL

Blame goes two places. First Pettitte. He never even looked over at the runner to check where he was. Second, the third baseman. He was playing so far off the bag with the left handed hitter up (Drew) that Ellsbury had no fear of getting a HUGE lead. There was nothing Posada could do. It's hard to block the plate in that situation as he is in his crouch receiving the pitch and you have a man at the plate.
