Everything i have read so far says this will not be a verbatim interpretation of the books. So who knows. This might suck a lot. But the books are pretty cool. And its directed by Sam Raimi.

I for one cant wait to see the Mord Sith :D

I am very much looking forward to it. Look for it the weekend of November 1st, it is syndicated, but will be on your local ABC affiliate late night in many markets. I wonder where Bruce Campbell will appear? ;)

I have read in a couple of places that while the tv show will be based on the books, it will not be a word for word adaptation. Which will probably cause a big rift between those who have read the books and those who havent. I also have a feeling that the evilness of characters like Darken Rahl will be watered down. Theres just no way they put scenes on tv like Rahl burying a 5 yr old kid up to his neck and then tricking him into swallowing molten lead so that he can use the boys anguish and pain to communicate with his dead father in the Underworld.

:shrug_n:

Knowing the SC tv market, it probably wont be televised here anyway. But thats ok, i'll just download the episodes :) Man i love BT.

*goes to download the latest episode of Dexter*

Yeah, I am not expecting much on being faithful to the books, but knowing the story and the characters, if you keep an open mind, may make the series more fun. Almost watching it as if someone else is telling the same story that is told in the books. Just like anything in history, details change, but the overall story should be similar.

I don't know where you are in SC, but the legendoftheseeker site has a thing where you can plug in your zip to find out where it is on locally. I found this for one zip:

COLUMBIA, SC
premieres on WACH-TV
Sat. 7:00pm

For my zip code it claimed it was going to be on that channel at 6 PM on Sunday. It was not. There was some rodeo on or something. Like i said, BT is my friend. I'll see it one way or another.
