Search Engine Virus

I seem to have picked up a virus.....anytime i Google something, or use any search engine, any response i click gets redirected to another seemingly random search engine results page.


Ive picked up viruses before and usually i can Google a fix for them. Obviously this time i cant.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Give us the website that it redirects you to and I'll try and google it for you.

when i search for something it says :

connecting to google.com

then, before the search result page comes up it changes to

connecting to web-analytics.com

then, when i click on one of the search results, it says:

connecting to go.google.com

then a numerical IP address (or sometimes 2 or 3), and then a seemingly random website.

eventually, it connects me to a search engine result page

Check post number 7 (http://www.daniweb.com/forums/post680432-7.html), he says he just used an anti-malware program that looks like it has a free trial.

Thanks DHughes.....that malware proggie seems to have done the trick. I also canned my old out of date Norton AV and installed a new AV proggie. Hopefully this will keep me all safe in the future :)

Its amazing how fast my computer seems now...lol.....i guess as it gradually gets slowr from all the sludge you pick up here and there you dont notice it, until it just stops working altogether
