Interesting stat mentioned was that the Red Sox pitchers have allowed the 3rd most walks in MLB. The 2 teams that have more walks allowed than the Sox are both under 500. Tonight was a true testament to the fact that walks make baby Jesus cry.

First, I'm not a huge Lugo fan, but it is what it is. 2 RBI's. He put the ball in play with RISP tonight and was truly safe on one of the worst calls ever.

It's one loss in a marathon season. We're 1-1/2 games out of first with the Rays apparently crumbling and the Yankees in an enjoyable mess. That's my only point.

Tomorrows another day and I will be back for more. Fact is they could have won this game and they let it slip away. The BP in all honesty has been less than stellar. MDC, Oki, Timlin, Hansen? Who do you trust in a tight situation this year? And Theo is on record as saying they will fix their problems from within. What does that mean? Masterson is the answer to the BP woes? I don't know. Hope so but it seems awfully optimistic to believe that. So color me concerned.

Not to worry. The Sox will win the division. If not, they will go in a wild card, and in MLB, wild card is as good as being div. winner. All you need is to get in.

Those are very valid concerns. As of late when you use the acronym BP in relation to the Red Sox, it doesn't mean BullPen.... it means Batting Practice.
