Congrats to all the Celtic fans, I;m pretty much all about the Pats and Revs, but it's still awesome to piss off the rest of the country, some random thoughts to ponder

Can we put the Kobe = MJ thing to bed. MJ could carry a team to a title, Kobe can't. MJ was a defensive player of the year candidate while leading the league in scoring. Kobe plays defense like Bill Murray in Space Jam

While were at it can we cut the "Western Conference Superiority" Myth. The Cavs and Pistons would have kicked the Lakers asses too.

I noticed the Lakers had a bunch of White guys with significant minutes while the Celtics played a primarily African American lineup throughout the series. I expect to see Spike Lee addressing this disparity in his next movie.

I went to the Rally after the Pats won XXXVIII, a lot of young "ladies" where exposing themselves to the elements on a 5 below wind chill factor day. I wonder how that'll play out tomorrow (beware the underage ones)

Phil Jackson is a fraud. He cherry picks his teams, always picking the one with the best player in the league. Hey Phyllis you want to impress me, take over an 18 win team and turn it around.

This kind of makes the Pats SB "issue" hurt a little more. A sweep of the 3 majors would have been the bomb.

At the moment, the Revs have a "Bridesmaids" quality about them that reminds me of the Pre-2004 Red Sox. I believe it's a cross to bear for us fans of the spotted round ball so that all the other Boston Teams might know the thrill of ultimate victory. Perhaps if I can convince UT to create "RevsPlanet" we might appease the karmic gods.

Defense wins championship...I also find it more exciting and interesting to watch. With the exception of the Spurs, the West doesn't play defense. Until this year the Spurs dominated the West...

Can you imagine, Revs lost in MLS Cup, Pats SB, what a friggin year it really could have been. I'm not letting any of those thoughts bring me down today.

Did you go the MLS Cup last year, we were down in DC for the final, tough loss...3 in a row. They are hanging in there this year without Twellman. I'll be there tonight, seciton 103.

Haven't made a game yet this year, but I've been following them on TV, Nyasi and Mansally are really fun guys to watch. Joseph is the guy that makes the whole thing go, I hope they smarten up and open the wallet for him a little.

my observation about this season, is that how can you not have awarded the coach of the year award to doc rivers? i mean, he took the team from the second to worse record in the nba, to the best record, and then go on to win the championship. i know ainge should get some credit for the key acquisitions in the off season, but the Xs and Os that matter too, and doc should have gotten coach of the year.

I agree...and not only Xs and Ox but Doc seems to really know how to motivate these guys and keep them focused. That in and of itself is an incredible skill. He goes to the wall with the refs for the guys. I know people complain about his rotations and have questioned some myself but there may be other factors that go into his decisions that we, the public are unaware of...
