As of this moment that I am writing this post, the game 3 free throw attempt disparity stands at 16-2, Lakers.

Must be nice to have the referees at your beck and call. Phil Jackson says "jump" they all respond "how high..?"

The disparity is no surprise. The Celtics have to fight through it.

Consider the source...Donaghy...but based on what we are seeing from the refs during this playoff season, it makes you wonder if the fix is in in the NBA....

After reading about what Donaghy has to say, I am not so sure that that is the only reason. I am somewhat concerned that it runs deeper. I don't want it to be true. I love basketball. It will be interesting to see how his accusations play out.

Donaghy's allegations have the potential to knock the NBA on its ass. Like the Rams' walkthrough tape rumors, I can't help but think he timed the release of this information for the NBA Finals. Any old-timer who watched the 2002 playoffs could easily draw parallels to the 1972 Olympic gold medal game.

Donaghy's allegations would/should be more detrimental to the NBA than the Patriots taping a walk through. NBA officials would effect more than one game and clearly as we have seen during the playoffs this year refs can effect the outcome of a game.

This story should be getting more play on sports station.

Federal agents asking questions about Bavetta. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3439554)

Stern could be sitting on the next Black Sox scandal, and no one's talking about it. The story confirms that the FBI and House Committee on Energy and Commerce are already involved. FYI, Game 1 of the Finals was ref'ed by Bavetta.

Thanks for posting the article. It is very vague but the FBI aspect is fascinating. I am interested in hearing more. My question is what does the FBI know that hasn't yet been released.

David Stern has to start taking these allegations more seriously.

Phil will always find things to complain about, don't you worry.
