They just said on the radio that Rip is playing but who knows if they are trying to mess with the Celtics. If he does play it is hard to believe he will be 100%. Maybe this injury is similar to one of his many flops...as in fake.

The Celtics had to beat two teams in that game: the Pistons and the refs. Some of the fouls they called in the third quarter were unbelievable. It was great to see them make the comeback in the fourth quarter in an unfriendly building. I'm happy, but the job is not done yet...

I really hate to harp on the refs and am a firm believer that if you "play your game" you will win. Having said that, I was impressed with how the Celtics handled that situation last night. They maintained their composure, for the most part (Perkins), and focused on the job-at-hand. That Paul Pierce 3-pt +1 that should have been a foul but wasn't: the say, 2002 Paul Pierce would have been mentally effected. Last night, that was not the case.

Back to Perk, he barely said 2-words to that official, yet Wallace was allowed to bark at that same official for what seemed like 5 minutes, and nothing. I'm sorry, but the officiating in the NBA sucks. It's almost as if they're making calls based on the situation rather than just making the calls. It's been really strange, and it's not limited to just the Pistons/Celtics series. All in all, in this series, I have lost a lot of respect for Rip Hamilton for all the flopping that he does. Don't get me wrong, the guy's a great player, but I really hate the flopping, and he's better than that, so I thought. He's basically on the list now (along with Wallace) that includes Laimbeer, Isiah, Mahorn, Rodman, Vinnie the Microwave, Chuck Daly, and any and all "bad boy" members that I have forgotten to mention.

The Pistons still do have some good young talent, and may very well be a team to worry about next season, but for right now, it's all about the NBA Finals. Man, does that sound good or what!
