Let's get this game thread rolling...
The Celtics need to head into Detroit 2-0 and take on at the Palace. Tonight is THE night for Ray Allen.

There goes Green 17. You know they can't win on the road.

Anyone think the Celts can win the East now that they lost at home?

All I can say is....WAAAAA.
They just didn't make the stops when they needed to.

Rondo needs to take the open 10 foot shot and not look to pass or dribble out of the lane.
he is not making the defense cover him and Garnett is 20' out from the hoop, not underneath getting some rebounds or posting up
PP is a turnover waiting to happen, he puts his head down and a second defender sneaks over trapping him

I always like to look at rebounding to control the game...Celtics had 13 offensive rebounds to the Pistons 9. the Celtics had 26 defensive rebounds to the Pistons 22. They just didn't get it done in the 4th.
I am sitting here analyzing this game in my mind as if I don't have enough work to do. all I could think of were those shots Rajon didn't take with seconds on the shot clock and not enough time to pass the ball.
And when Wallace has the rhythm to hit those 3 point shots...he hit a couple of them right in front of me...I wanted to scream...oh wait, I did.

Detroit was playing off the Celtics D, they won the battle of the X's and O's last night, Doc and his defensive guru need to find a way to eliminate them swinging the ball back around to the open man away from the defensive overload...easier said than done
encouraging to see teh shooting % and rebounds for the Celtics but the Pistons Shooting % was higher and they were all hitting last night
I say this series will come down to Rondo starting to take those open looks and force the defense to play him honest and not play off him doubling Paul, KG or Ray.
It is too bad Perk couldn't get a 15-18 point game off but I don't see that

I went back to look at the stat line because I kept hearing how close everything was and I am very curious...
This game was lost at the free throw line...at least point wise...The Celtics made 22 of 25 attempts while the Pistons made 28 of 32...a six point difference.
Overall shooting % was pretty close with the Pistons at 49% (35 of 71) and the Celtics at 48% (35 of 72). The Celtics were 5 for 19 from 3 point land. The Pistons were 5 for 10.
I agree that Rondo needs to take those shots or this team is in trouble.

how can a jump shooting team like the pistons get to the line more than the Celtics with Pierce amd Garnett both capable of taking it inside
