Not since the days of Jimmy Rodgers was a Celtics coach given so much talent, yet managed to do so little with it when it really mattered.

I hope he's fired come the offseason.

moved thread to celtics forumIt irritates me because I remember the Rodgers years. He had Bird, McHale, Parish, Ainge, DJ and we STILL lost in the first round to the FRIGGIN KNICKS! It wasn't until he got canned and Chris Ford stepped in that the C's started lighting things up.

Doc has a massive amount of talent both on the court and on the bench and we have yet to win one single road playoff game?

Surely, he can't be the best we could get to coach these guys, is he?

The thing that really annoyed me was the start of the 4th quarter. He plays:

Pierce
Cassell who is useless on the road
Baby Huh?
PJ Brown who I don't have a problem with but I do when you have Big Baby in as well. He is fine to be playing with KG
Posey

He played this lineup for nearly 40 percent of the 4th in a close playoff game. That is pretty much unacceptable in my mind. In doing this he sat Ray Allen who FINALY hit a rhythm in the 3rd quarter and lost it by the time he came in at the end of the game. The offense has been mess on the road in pressure situations all playoffs long, which has to be on the coach in some regard

Just pissed. That is all I can say

When I saw Glen Davis in there I felt as if Doc was conceding the game. I don't understand the thinking at all. Cassell is confusing the me. I expected more even on the road. Doc's line-up in the fourth (and several times over the course of the game) was awful. I don't know what he was thinking.

However, I can't blame Doc for everything that is going wrong...Garnett, Allen and Pierce just aren't playing their best both offensively and defensively on the road. What is Doc suppose to do about that? Posey has been dependable during the course of the playoffs....last night he couldn't hit much.

And can we talk about free throws. I expect this team to miss free throws now more than I expect them to make them...it seems to be a problem at home also.
