I know most of the population of this country is brain dead, but who thinks that this gas tax holiday could possibly be a good idea? The plan to get rid of the tax for consumers and pass the cost to the oild companies will achieve nothing.

if the burden passes to the oil companies, than doesn't this give said oil companies leeway to up the price of a gallon of gas during the time the gas tax is not in effect, thus making little to no difference in the overall price?
