I'm not sure I like the idea of a t-shirt being buried there though. It's like having the Red Sox buried at the new stadium.

Should have been something like:

1) The bloody sock
2) Cork from 2004 ALCS celebration champagne - even the new locker room will stink of it for all time

or

3)Kevin Brown.

Eh, I think it goes a little overboard... not that anything was really affected. very unprofessional. I do a lot of printing and I've printed Yankee boards and Colts boards etc, and don't think the thought of doing something never crossed my mind... but its unprofessional. Thats my honest opinion

If it's really cursed a giant steel beam will fall and crush A Rod and Jeter. Then I will believe it is cursed.

Couldn't that symbolize the REd Sox getting buried at the new stadium? This curse may not work out the way it was intended.

OK, so they dug it up. Now maybe Papi will start hitting. No wonder he was in a slump - he was buried in concrete at the new Stadium.

NEW YORK -- So much for the curse.

The New York Yankees have ended a construction worker's attempt to jinx their new stadium with a buried Boston Red Sox jersey.

Team officials watched Sunday as construction workers removed the jersey, with slugger David Ortiz's name on it, from two feet of concrete in a service corridor of the stadium that's under construction.

The team says a construction worker -- who is a Red Sox fan -- recently buried the jersey there while on the job. Two other supervisors found the tattered shirt Saturday.
The Yankees plan to donate the jersey to charity, and may pursue a lawsuit against the construction worker.

hahahahaha

That would be a cool jersey to have framed on the wall!

Does this mean that they'll be digging Jimmy Hoffa out of the Meadowlands now?

I hope something helps him to start hitting. It is painful to watch him struggle so much.

I am tired of this story, it is everywhere you look. Jeez, talk about giving a story it's legs. I just wish it would go away, enough already.

I was stoked to hear about the jersey being buried under the new yankee stadium, but why in hell would you tell someone about it BEFORE the stadium was complete?? Had that been me, I would have waited until the first time the Sox go there in '09 and then put the pictures out in the news.. Then what would Hank do? Dig up the stadium? Just a thought.
