Fun times. Fun times.

And why would anyone in Eastern Mass drive on the highway without their headlights on?

I debated on whether I should plow this morning or wait until tonight. The amount of snow decided it for me as I was not sure I would be able to get my car out without plowing first. So I did, and will probably have to do some cleanup tonight too.

<sigh> Even with the headaches invovled, I miss the snow. Two winters without it, and more importantly without skiing. I can't stand it. Already started a savings account to plan for at least a weeklong trip somewhere next year, preferably a short trip in addition to that.

Moebius, in general, the snow does not bother me all that much. But today's was tough because it was saturated by rain. Very heavy and back-breaking.

It gets worse and worse. I'm having trouble putting the stuff away. I have one bank about 8 feet and another on the other side of the driveway about 6 feet.

We haven't have a giant storm but we keep having medium storms one after another. there has been no thaw since early Jan so it keeps piling up. It normally take me a little over 1 hour to snow blow, today close to 2 hours.

Have to do a path for my wiener dogs to pee-pee and poo-poo. Poor little things aren't more than a couple of inches off the ground.:(

I went to bed last night and there was a nice coating of snow on the ground. When I woke up, therain took it away. No plowing, no shoveling!

Times like this it pays to live near the coast. However, someties we get whacked and you guys up north get squat. Most of the time weather around here is like a roll of the dice.

WE got a couple of inches. Letting the rain and warmer temps take care of it. I'm more worried about the heavy rain causing water problems in the basement.

went out real early this morning to get it while it was not raining

I just went outside now that it's daylight, and the sky is actually blue today. I can't remember the last time I saw a blue sky. It's always light gray or dark gray... Maybe we'll actually have a day without rain. Wouldn't THAT be a change of pace...

We were lucky here on the north shore, only got about an inch and the rain is taking it away.

Yeah, I remember having to climb up on the roof a couple of times to try and clear a path for melting. We had about a 24 inch base when it started raining, which was causing the water to backflow up under the siding on one section and into the kitchen.

FOr wether down here. Let's see. Last Tuesday mid 70s followed by a quick drop to the 40s with a few tornadoes thrown in for good measure. 1 week later, rain, changing to freezing rain over night, and now little flurries cropping up today (0 accumulation of course). Gotta love it.

A few inches overnight, now rain here in RI. Just waiting for the rivers to flood... I have to leave for work around 2:30pm so I'm hoping the roads aren't blocked by then... The Pocasset and Pawtuxet always flood in weather like this.

If the DEM allowed the cities and towns along those rivers to clear them up and remove some of the natural barriers that cause it to flood, it would help the neighborhoods immensely.

I got up at 6AM and snow blowed the driveway. It was about 6 inches of powder..nice and easy. I just came back in about 20 minutes ago. This time it was about 5 inches of snow covered in sleet, and rain that weighed about 15 pounds per square inch...OK exageration...but it was much more work this time and took three times longer and the sides of the driveway are at 10 feet an about 9 feet on each side..tomorrow is supposed to warm up to the mid 30's hopefully it comes down a lot before the next storm...

You sound just like my friend up there. She has just about lost her mind because of all the rain. She's living in the Seattle area for 8 years now, and now all of a sudden she can't handle the rain (and lack of sun) anymore. I'm a little worried she'll snap, so if you hear of any disturbances up in Bellingham, please let me know, 'k?

We got a couple inches of snow. What sucked was going out to clear the driveway, and seeing everybody else just pwning that shit with their snowblowers, and all I had was a plain old shovel.

Half way through I took a break and just made snowballs and threw them at my neighbor's wall. :D

EDIT: BTW, it wasn't raining, but there were some icicles dripping that I was forced to stand in the path of on occasion.

Been watering hard all day in Northampton. May have had 5" of snow overnight. Police are reporting numerous fender benders around the Pioneer valley. I stayed home instead of coping with the jerks out on the roadway. One less idiot out there, with me being home.

Well then fire the lazy gerbils and hire some good hardworking hamsters!

Guys, all this gerbil and hamster talk is probably getting Richard Gere all worked up. Please, for the sake of the chance that Richard Gere reads a temportary Patriots message board forum, let's spice it DOWN a bit. K?

That had to be some of the heaviest snow we've had in a long time.

It was messy here this morning, but with all the rain since then, and relatively warm temps, we have NO snow left on the ground here in RI - just a lot of water, puddles.....(yuk)

My husband went out early this am and shoveled all the heavy snow, in the rain, also - but it would have just melted away by tonight! Sometimes procrastination can be worthwhile.....

Tornadoes and warm weather last week. Snow today. 50 degrees tomorrow. Typical Tennesse weather.

What, with 24 inches in a week?

Nah, figure 6 inches four times a week, or 8 inches three times a week.

All 24 inches at once, yeah, that might be fatal.

Wait... we talking about snow?
