View Full Version : Can you get on and post on the main board?

And is it quick enough to be worth it?
The status of this question will obviously change if the status of the board changes, but I am curious how most are dealing with the current performance as there are not a lot of people there.

Just tested it. Still pretty slow, but not terrible.

This is the message I just posted there and the reason I am asking:
I am actually having a debate with myself right now.
1) Kyle mentioned yesterday that he is going to get back to "working on it" today.
2) There are not a lot of people there, I am not sure everyone can get on.
3) Performance seems to be getting a little worse as the morning goes on.
4) I can access the control panel now.
My debate is this, knowing these things above, should I continue to let the board limp along and possibly become unusable, or while I have the access, close the board until things are fixed. That way if anyone does get it to load, there will be a clear message on where they can go for now.

This is the reply I just posted over there. :D
Closing it back up is probably the right thing to do if we have more impending work.

Well, I was hoping to get more input, but I made the yucky decision to close the board until we get some real performance. Maybe this will actually help Kyle get things done more quickly without people trying to use the board so much.
Sorry everyone.

Don't really mind being locked out. I noticed last night that since both boards were up (well, the main board was "sort of" working), there were about a dozen people in each place. Probably better to congregate the heathens all in one spot. :D

For the record I tried going on there tonight through a link to an old thread and there's now a dialogue box saying the board is being redone, it's not working very well though so everyone should come here.
So if D22 and the other Assclowns didn't know about this board before... :icon_toil
