Hobbs on Spicer (http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/patriots/index.php/2008/01/08/hobbs-on-spicer/)
Pats cornerback Ellis Hobbs undoubtedly spoke for a lot of teammates today when he was asked again about comments by Jacksonville’s Paul Spicer in the wake of Cameragate that the Patriots should be banned from the playoffs.
“No. 1, yesterday I heard about that comment for the first time,” Hobbs said. “So that tells you how important it is to me. I never heard it or thought about it. No 2, I stand by my coaches, this staff, this organization, the players. We’re not cheaters. No. 3, it means nothing. It means absolutely nothing to this playoff game. All the talking we’re doing and they’re doing, it means nothing. The game will be settled between the white lines by the 22 players on the field.”
