View Full Version : Did anyone see Ortiz in the post game interviews????
Was just watching ESPN and they had player interviews from the locker room after the game, and there was Papi, being interviewed, WEARING A PATRIOTS HAT. That was cool.

I think Francona's comment was the best of the night:
"We're going to show up tomorrow and do the same things we do everyday: kick Pedroia's ass in cribbage and play baseball."

That's great. He's always got some good quotes and is very careful to stay away from bulletin-board material.

Well, his wife is from Wisconsin and he played minor league baseball in the Green Bay area...so one would assume he is a Packer fan, but him wearing the Pats hat in the locker room, I found to be cool.

DO understands his iconic stature in Boston/New England. He understands that he can cement that iconic legacy by not alienating people by wearing a hat.

Ortiz is a Packers fan. Don't they have a house in Wisconsin too? I've seen Papi were a Pats jersey before too. Think it was Ty Law. It's on the 2004 World Series DVD if I'm not mistaken. In the locker room scenes during the ALCS.
