I've been hearing alot about how the Pirates supposedly want some guy from the Red Sox, I think it's your pitching coach, to be our new manager.
Have any of you guys heard anything about it?

Nope. I haven't heard anything other than the fact that we're in the ALCS. Taking it one game at a time.

Gammons had mentioned the possibility of Farrell being sought by the Pirates as their next manager in his ESPN column!

It was pretty funny on ESPN the other night, they had Farrell on the list of potential replacements for Joe Torre. They are the only ones to put him on that list. I don't think that would ever happen, this isn't the NFL.
