What A pitching duel we are going to see. Becket 20 season wins, CG, 4 hitter in game one of the ALDS. C.C. 19 season wins, One hell of a performance against a highly potent offense, The New York Yankees(haha). Becket definatly the better pitcher. But both men come in with full rest.

While the pitching duel is something to look forward to, I'm disappointed by the time off. Friday? Our quick series win does NO good now. Oh well.

Woah! For a minute I thought celtsox34x tried to start a game thread for ALCS Game 1...
My mojo is still good...
(I'm starting the post-season game threads until the Sox lose. So far, I'm 3-0!)

I hope you're the only thread starter we will need. And if so, you have to do Opening Day in '08.

They're forecasting rain for the weekend and maybe even Friday night, so you might get what you want. That could be a bummer if it means we have to bring Becket/Schilling back on short rest, though the same thing would happen to Sabathia/Carmona.
The thing is, Schilling is the one of those four that short rest might mess up the most. I guess, if there's a rain out, it would give the team that's ahead more of an edge, since they'd be less pressured to bring back one of their top starters on short rest.
