When Colorado beat Philly in the NLDS, just now, the TV networks must have really been pissed.
Their ideal NLCS would have been the Cubs and the Phillies, two established baseball franchises, with knowledgeable fans, and a nationwide audience of Cubs and Philly fans everywhere.
Colorado and Arizona would have been the worst possible matchup to happen if you were a network executive.
My guess is that series will have the lowest viewer ratings in history.
The fans here, in Arizona, for example are the world's worst, most ignorant, and don't know the difference between a sacrifice fly and a sacrificial lamb.
And GOD forbid you should stand up in front of one of them and cheer.
They need little activities and games between every half inning to keep the spectators occupied.
They arrive late, leave early, and don't walk down the aisle from the sushi stand if play is in progress. Only between innings are you allowed to walk down the aisles to get to your seat.
And the stadium, here in Arizona, is a cold looking and ffeling mausoleum.
The network execs will be rolling over in their sleep tonight.
