Per Mike Reiss:

The Patriots made two roster moves today, signing free-agent defensive back Arturo Freeman and outside linebacker Wesly Mallard. The team also placed defensive back Chad Scott on injured reserve.

We\'ll have more on Freeman in a bit.

Also, linebacker Eric Alexander was re-signed to the practice squad.

between that and the news on faulk, you guys are having a tough time of it today, eh? look at the bright side, scott was just horrible against the pass. having troy (or freeman) back there HAS to be an upgrade.
