so we all love theo for getting a championship but come on we gotta bust his nuts a little
come on JD Drew for 70 mill we all knew this was a bad signing and look how it is, worse than anyone thought....man i thought 270 was bad not 245 for him.....and lugo for the money the gave him...he sucks a D and cant hit and is wetaded on the bases...theo needs to be a little more logical...we all knew these were bad signings why arent we on him more?

Because there's nothing he can do about it...if J.D. Drew and/or Lugo aren't traded (with the Sox paying the bulk of their salary for the next five years) in the off-season then people will get on Theo's case. I remember seeing an interview with Theo and he said that GM's have to try to buy tallent when that player is having an off-year or is in a slump or ready for a break-out year because they (the player) will more than likely break out of it and return to their career averages. A decent theory but what if the player sucks.
I never liked either signing. The Drew signing never got me excited...plus, it dragged on forever. I remember watching Lugo with the D-Rays and I wasn't too impressed...so when he signed with the Sox I was kind of shocked.

I agree 100%. The Sox have been in first place in the AL East all year long so there hasn't been a gathering of Red Sox Nation outside Theo's office with torches and farm equipment.
If the Sox lose the division (I don't think they will but it is within the realm of possiblilty), then I'm sure people will be calling for Theo's head...or at the very least Drew's or Lugo's.

Lugo atleast had some clutch hits early and had a bunch of RBI's for a guy hitting 200 - Drew has just been a thorn in the side and is the higher priced free agent, thus he gets the young Frankenstien treatment in november if the team fails
