Brady was an abuser of Roids

I don't think Brady Anderson used roids. In 1996, he switched his batting style to where he was pulling everything he hit rather than work the field.

Clemens however, it's hard to say that he didn't roid up in the latter end of his career.

the cover is one thing but the breakdown of all the joints is more telling, the steriods create too much pull and the tendons can only stretch so far before breaking

If you randomly pulled a name out of a hat of players that played MLB from 1990 until 2005, you would pull a name that 75% of the time had used steroids. Not saying that makes it right, just saying that not only the guys who had aberational statistical years were using.

The reason why I don't think Brady roided was because it WAS too drastic of a jump from one season to the next. Roids don't work THAT quick, nor do they disappear that easily (i.e. his 1997 season).

The reason for his '96 season was mainly because of a change in his mechanics where he started to pull eveything. Come '97, and he noticed that he was starting to hurt a little too much from that swing and decided to revert back to a swing made more for contact.

By the same logic, Roger Maris roided up in 1961 when his HR totals nearly doubled then went back down the in 1962.

I don't understand your point. Maris was already a league MVP before '61.

And can you please clarify your point on Anderson "hurting too much" in '97? How do you know this? Are you his sideburn groomer? Was he in your barber chair telling you this?

The better question would be if you had any evidence that pointed to him using steroids. If all you have is a "hunch" based on that year, then you really don't have much ground to stand on.

And btw, the Maris/Anderson comparison was to illustrate 2 guys that had a sudden spike in power for one season then went back down to their normal numbers the following season and NEVER repeated said feat ever again. Because Anderson was playing in a period where steroid use is suspected from every player, what was Maris's excuse?

I don't have a hunch. If Brady Anderson never took a 'roid then I feel bad because he's then a victim of the stigma of his generatiom that will afflict his reputation until otherwise proven.

Roger Maris hit 39 HR's the year before he hit 61. After '62, he never had 500 AB's in a season again. Injury and paranoia plagued the rest of his career. '61 did him in.

But to say my, or anyone's speculation on Anderson's juicing is based on a hunch when you're claiming that the guy changed his stance for one year, had the best year of his career, decided he didn't like it and abandoned it because he started to "hurt a little too much" might be the most ridiculous statement thrown against the wall to see if it sticks that I've heard in a long time, man.

If you have something you can post to prove your stance theory then I'll gladly eat crow.
