Just when it looked like he was out of the woods and pitching like the Mike Timlin we all know and love...this happens. Hope it is not too serious. Sox are saying they won't DL him just give him a couple of days off. Hope Dice K can throw 180 pitches today!!!!
Mike Timlin's shoulder is sore and he was kept out of last night's game. Timlin hasn't pitched since Monday in Cleveland, but Terry Francona said afterward that the shoulder isn't bad enough to place Timlin on the disabled list.
Francona said it was a struggle without him as the Sox had to use Kyle Snyder and Javier Lopez after Jonathan Papelbon blew the 6-4 lead in the 9th, though the Sox came back to win with six runs in the 12th, 12-6.

Oki is the lefty, so it is Manny D unless he goes to Chicago as part of a Dye deal.
you like the lefty/righty to get match-ups if needed

Where are all the switch-pitchers? You know, the ones that can switch their throwing hand to tailor to the batter?

No way! There really was one?
Baseball Reference said he did it in one game only ... but still, damn!

Baseball Reference said he did it in one game only ... but still, damn!he had a special glove to allow him to bounce back and forth but wasn't it Jimy Williams who would not pitch him lefty because it was a mockery of the game?
***edit** it was Lou Gorman
Harris' unusual ability to pitch with both hands led to some tension between him and the Red Sox, who forbade the ambidextrous hurler from throwing lefty. GM Lou Gorman insisted it would "make a mockery" of the game, leading Harris to grumble, "Boston is so conservative. People are afraid to try anything." In a muted show of defiance, Harris usually chose to wear an ambidextrous glove on the mound.

I heard it took him twice as long to warm up
