At the Adam's Inn in Quincy. My wife works there part time, and last night, he was in attendance. She has met him on numerous occasions, but I finally got an opportunity to meet the man. Every Friday night, they have "el Tiante Cigar Night." If you like cigars, I would highly recommend going there. It begins at 7pm and they have a big screen TV out on the deck where you can watch the Sox play.

He showed me his WS ring, actually let me put it on my finger, gave me an autographed photo, and signed my Red Sox hat. :D His cigars are the bomb. IF you are in the Quincy area on a Friday evening, GO! He is the nicest guy in the world and will talk to you as if he's known you for years. I was really impressed by that. It wasn't a job, he is genuinely a nice guy. I was talking to him for about 1/2 hour ranging from how the current Sox team is doing, to the fine cigars (I was smoking the $8 ones that he was having), to sharing stories my father has told me about him and how I was a 2 month old baby sitting in his lap watching him pitch in the '75 World Series. What a great night and I thank you all for allowing me to share this story here. :icon_pray

The one time I forget to bring the camera. I promise the next time I will have pics, but for now, you'll just have to believe me.

Sounds like a fantastic time! I am truly envious that you could spend a night with the great Luis Tiante! He was one of my all-time favorite Red Sox players. Truly a unique individual! Thanks for sharing that story!
