Gabby's been doing pretty well. People have been saying that the Sox need another pitcher at the trading deadline...I think they found one.

With the emergance of Gabby, it gives Lester time to build up his stamina and to work out some kinks in Pawtucket. El Loco can move to the bullpen when Schilling slides back into the rotation.

NOTE: I live a couple towns over from where Hall of Famer "Gabby" Hartnett grew up. (and the oft injured Rocco Baldelli) :D

I hope that is what Francona does when Schilling returns. Because he seems adamant about keeping Tavarez in the starting rotation! But I hope he rides the hot hand in Gabbard. At least let the guy prove he can't do it before you send him down. He's been pretty solid for the Sox! Tavarez has pitched out of the BP before and should be fine in that role.

Like I said before: If Tavarez is still in the rotation when Schilling gets back, then HEADS MUST ROLL!

Ride the wave. I have been a Tavares supporter, but Gabbard has earned his shot.

Apparently he hasn't according to Tito Gaston.

I wonder if Gabbard has what it takes to keep this up? I can easily see him falling back down to mediocre once everyone has seen him once or twice. IMO, the speculation that he is being showcased for a possible trade is not all that crazy.
