Tommorrow is a busy day for me, and I'm not sure what my schedule is gonna look like, so I'm going to set up the game thread right now so as to avoid any potential disasters.
It looked like the bold and simple mojo worked great today, so I'll use it again for this game:

This is a great pitching matchup. But I know our boy has the edge. Let's take 'em to school!

After his earlier errors, I really wasn't expecting Abrieu to come up with that backhand at the ankles catch on Pedroia.

The Yankees Hitters have really owned red sox pitching this year... It is kind of pathetic. Everyone else seems to be able to get them out....

Changed my avatar to get a real man in there instead of the Minnie Mouse that slid into home plate and let Posada's toenails keep him from getting there. Lugo is a freaking huge waste of money.

It'd be nice if ESPN could maybe show more than one replay of the slide. I still haven't seen one but I really thought he was safe.

I saw the play as it happened...I was a weak-ass slide by Lugo. Posada had to jump to make the catch from Jeter. If Lugo would have gone hard into Posada, it would have knocked him off the plate and he would have scored. Or if he wanted to avoid contact, he definitely could have slid around Posada. A limp foot slide right into the catcher is not going to get it done. Lugo was out and he deserved to be.
That potential run was the difference last night.

If anyone sees the replay again or can get footage (please post, btw) I'd like to see what the on-deck hitter advised Lugo to do. If he was told to slide then I don't think we should be all over Lugo.

If you hold your nose and go to http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com you can watch the clip.

1.) I thought Lugo started his slide way too early & short
2.) I think Lugo wanted no part of Posada

Eggzackly on both points. If this were football, he'd be cut (yeah, all $8,250,000 of him). Pussy.
