How To: Add A Sig (Step By Step)

OK, here is a step-by-step guide as to how to add/post your sig in the Sox Planet forum.

Step 1.

Find the "Quick Links" Link on the menu bar and click the down arrow next to it.

Step 2.

Once you click the link, a drop down menu will appear. Click "Edit Signature"

Step 3.

Now, that will take you to the Edit Sig page. Now you need to know your sig's URL address.

Step 4.

Time to find the sig I posted or that you have. Go to it, right-click and choose "Save As...". Save it somewhere on your computer that you can easily find, like your desktop for now.

Step 5.

Great, now you have saved the sig. Now you need to host it. There are many free image hosting sites. I use image shack. Go to the site as seen in the picture below (#1), then click the 'browse' button (#2). From there, find where you saved the sig to, like the desktop, and click OK. Next, click the "Host It" button (#3).

Step 6.

Now that your sig is hosted, Find the sig's URL address at the bottom of the page. Copy that address, as we'll need to paste it in a second.

Step 7.

We new need to go back to the 'Edit Sig" page at Sox Planet. Once there, click the "picture icon" (#1) and that will bring up the picture prompt (#2). Paste the URL address you just copied and click OK.

Step 8.

Almost there. Now, go to the bottom of the page and click "save signature"

Now, your sig should work.

Ahh, good point, because I will eventually. Plus, if peeps shrink 'em, they need to re-host sometimes.

DW, I think I know all of this.
What keeps happening to me is it comes up as the file being too big.

I check the file size and it is smaller than the max, I check others size by right clicking and checking properties and they are larger. However, it will not let me use this cuz of the size, which I even reduced.
BTW, I'm using photobucket.

Well, try imageshack and if it still doesn't work PM Mikie and as a Mod he should be able to do it for you. I know UT has done it on Pats Planet.
