As promised, here are a bunch of scans of some Red Sox memorabilia. The links below will take you to the host site where I uploaded the .pdf files.

1977 - Red Sox Official Yearbook

The '77 Red Sox featured an outfield of Jim Rice, Fred Lynn and Dwight Evans. Hall of Famers Carlton Fisk and Carl Yastrzemski. Unfortunately, this season pre-dated the Wild Card playoff format and 97 wins was only good enough for second place to the MFYs.

1977 - Red Sox Program (1st Edition)

Featuring a cover photo of Don Zimmer in his younger days. Inside are articles about "The Boomer" George Scott and Sox closer Bill Campbell. Also, among the many liquor and cigarette ads is an ad for a Betamax recorder at Lechmere (neither of which exist anymore).

1979 - Red Sox Program (1st Edition)

Yaz is on the cover and featured inside. '79 is the year that Yaz hit his 400th HR and 3000th hit (more on that below). Other articles include Johnny Pesky and Jim Rice working on hitting and "The Rise of Bob Stanley."

1979 - Red Sox Program (3rd Edition)

On September 12, 1979, Yaz singled off Yankee's pitcher Jim Beattie for his 3,000th career hit. The Sox won the game 9-2. Yaz became the first AL player to collect both 3,000 hits and 400 HRs (Aaron and Mays had done it in the NL). This is the program from that game. Freddie Lynn on the cover and featured inside.

Nice expanded framed picture. I think what I'll always remember most about that game (well, besides Bellhorn's HR off our current crazy fifth starter) was Manny's "carwreck" in left field. Here's hoping 2007 gives us some such great memories.

Wrong game. We were at Game 2 - and that is what the picture is.
