I'm watching via MLB.TV. it's not great but it'll do. Ironic that I have to stare at the "NESN HD" symbol in the top right corner.

So do I when I'm at home...and I don't have HD yet. I have the TV but due to a SNAFU I can't get the box.

Yeah, that's the only way you can listen to the stream. 103.7 doesn't have a site. Just the Boston AM EEI.

Pedroia with his first error of the year allows Wilkerson on 1st and with Wake pitching, like everyone else, he has stolen 2nd.

He has now scored on a single--sigh.......

Sorry Oldskool.......I'm not a fan of Wakefield as a SP. This was not his fault but he's a liability on the mound with runners on at all times.

To each his own...:)

You don't stay in the bigs for this long without being able to play at a high level. That being said, Wake should be the #5 guy. Lester can't come back fast enough (or the signing of Roger).

I agree, he is better than 90% of the number 4 pitchers and if we had a closer coming into spring training, Pap would be pitching today with Wake going tomorrow

lester his 96 on the gun last night, nice for a lefty

AFLAC Trivia question:

Kenny Lofton has played for 11 different teams. Which two players in MLB history have played for 12?

I'm gonna say Rickey Henderson and..........(thinking)......gotta be after the whole free-agent period starting which was in the 70's.........

I got nothing.......

The bad news is, we're still down 2-0. The good news is, the Rangers still need to get 6 more outs and they'll have to go through our 9-1-2-3-4-5 hitters to do so.

Let's have some faith. Those guys can easily produce 2 runs (or more) to keep this game alive. And Tejeda will soon be out of this game (hopefully).

Nice running catch--not an easy play for him but an easier play overall for an average LF'r.

Good job by Manny keeping this game to a 2-run deficit. It's time for the offense to take back this game.

Also, Snyder has the best curveball of the pitching staff. That thing is Barry Zito-esque!

Manny-Drew-Lowell due up if I'm not mistaken. To stay positive, if we can get Manny across and Drew in scoring position, I like our chances. Drew has speed and can score on a single by Lowell.

RALLY TIME!!!

Well, that sucked giant ass.

Nothing like wasting a 2-run, 3-hit pitching performance.

There is NO WAY this team should be held to 3 hits and no runs.

Manny and Ortiz better wake the $*(# up, and SOON.

Down to the last out, don't you need to take a shot at tying the game with one swing? Pena should have been in there for Crisp.

Manny had a fine game and other than his 0-4 on Opening Day has been productive.

He went 1-2 with 2 BB's in the next game, 2-5 in the following game and 1-3 today with another BB. He made a nice running catch to keep the game to within 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th with a runner on and singled to lead off the 9th.

He's producing through the first 4 games, Ortiz on the other hand...

Mikiemo83
04-06-2007, 09:34 PM
Yeah, the issue with the sox is a bat off the bench - Wily Mo is the best option but who after him? I hope they were not saving Wily Mo for Pedroia.

Hey! You can't blame me for this loss. From what I was hearing on the radio, everybody was swinging at the first and second pitches and flying out. Wake pitched a pretty good game and the bullpen was solid.

It's hard to win when you don't score a single run. Wake has always had a problem with run support. Like that 1-0 loss to the Yanks on a crap HR by that cheater Giambi.

I'll be back tomorrow night to start the next thread...unless you don't want me to.

EToE, Tom Werner was at the Boston Sports bar for the Dice-K game. :)

But, the funny thing is he totaled his car in an accident after the game. He's okay but I wonder if he had a few too many coctails.:icon_pidu

Another game I missed. But looking at the final score I see that the offense didn't score so one can't fault Wakefield for today.

They aren't going to win every game. So I'm looking forward 'till tomorrow and to see how Tavarez pitches.

I can't wait until night games.
